About Us
Curriculum

Our Curriculum

We value taking a hands-on approach to learning and giving direct attention to each child's individual developmental needs. We utilize a Biblical based curriculum to give the students a well-rounded education and a sense of truth. We have designed multiple age classrooms to help children grow into leaders and begin to develop their own teaching skills as well as learn to take direction and work as a team.

Infant / Toddler

Three months - three year is the sensitive period for language and movement. We have prepared an enticing environment that encourages the child to start developing independents and personal autonomy, With the support of loving and caring guides the child learns more in this stage of life then any other time when given the opportunity.

Primary

3–6-years is a period where children have a strong need for selfcare and care for their environment. Though self-correcting activities designed to foster the child's love of learning and need for order, their confidence grows as they find joy exploring everything in their world.

Elementary

In Elementary we start the process of converting the concepts from the concrete to the abstract. With teamwork and the careful guidance of a directress, critical thinking is encouraged to problems solve and develop excellent time management skills.

Middle School

In Middle School we start honing in on each child's interest through internships for real world experience while continuing to develop excellent leadership and team building.

What parents are saying...

Blanca Diaz

I have two little ones (A 4-year-old and a 2-year-old) that started going to Wonderbrook Wonders a few weeks ago. Both boys are thrilled to be going there! Every morning my 4-year-old says, “Mommy I want to go with Tammy and Liz!” And every morning I tell him yes, I am taking you to be with Tammy & Liz. Both boys get a lot of hands-on learning and as parents we are sent pictures and updates with information regarding their daily activities. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I am appreciative of all the staff there!

Alicia Hochstetler

This is the second year my daughter has been in the Montessori Program at Waterbrook Wonders and she loves it! She looks forward to school everyday and adores her teacher Miss Maya. All the teachers are amazing and patient and will give your child a school experience unlike any other. They meet your child where they are at and are able to give them one on one attention that most schools cannot give your child. I highly recommend anyone to send your children here. It is worth it!

Rochelle Slabaugh

We are so glad we have found an alternative to the public school system. Waterbrook Wonders has proven to be such a great place for our children. Miss Tammy, Miss Liz, Miss Mya and Miss Jazzy are wonderful, hands on teachers with hearts of love for each child that walks through their doors. After a couple months of sending our oldest, our friends and family started to remark on how mature, polite and smart she was becoming. Her vocabulary exploded. Montessori systems work and it’s exactly what we’ve been praying for.

We believe in intentional education

Our Story
Our Teachers

Integrity

The importance of guiding a child to developing their sense of wholeness and moral principal holds a strongpoint in our curriculum.

Honesty

Honesty contains many aspects, social honesty but also within oneself is a virtue rarely taught nor sustained in modern schooling. Showing a student why they must respect their own honest motivations will follow them long into adulthood. We're not raising children, we're raising adults.

Preferring others above ourselves

Grace and courtesy hold a substantial role in developing ones social skills. Learning not just how, but why we should follow that Golden Rule will bring a child to find their own motivation and discover the importance of treating others with respect and kindness.

Our Story

The name Waterbrook Wonders is a tribute to Victor Hart who named our home school Waterbrook after Psalm 42:1 As the hart pants after water brooks, So pants my soul after you O God.

Being aware that many parents are now seeking new options for their child's education, we saw the need. Feeling the call and deeply held passion for a safe, positive, and productive place for boys and girls to explore and discover, we began a journey. As a result, Waterbrook Wonders was born. In 2024 God has miraculously provided us beautiful land with a charming iconic building that gives us room to grow.

FAQs

Explore common questions at Waterbrook Wonders. Don't see an answer to your question? Fill our FAQ form below!

Do you provide diapers/infant supplies?

No, we do not provide diapers, baby wipes, rash cream, baby powder or bum medicine for children in our Infant/Toddler classroom. Parents will need to supply us with adequate amounts, one full package of both diapers and baby wipes with your child's name on them. Parents of children in the Primary classroom must provide at least one extra outfit for their child.

Do parents/guardians have to download the Brightwheel app?

YES. The Brightwheel app is a daily tool that our staff uses to contact, message and update all parents. As well as keeping parents informed of the daily tasks and news on their children. The Facebook page alone with not keep parents sufficiently updated, and we will not take it upon ourselves to make exceptions and individually call or text parents for non-administrative questions/concerns.

Do you follow the local public school yearly schedule? What time do services start?

We follow public school yearly schedule on a general basis. We are not consistent with them on every holiday. We do have our own schedule and will take the responsibility to ensure that it is provided on Brightwheel to be viewed at any time. Parents must download the Brightwheel app to stay updated on any and all schedule changes. Classes start at 9:00 AM and continue until 3:00 PM. We provide "beforecare" as early as 7:00 AM and "aftercare" from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM if needed.

What are the requirements for student clothing?

We do not allow any fantasy-based clothing (unicorns, mermaids, or video-game and TV show characters) we lead a very down-to-earth curriculum and prefer our students to focus their minds on the realistic aspects of their environment. Plants, people, animals, food, hearts, stars, etc. is perfectly acceptable. Weather and gender appropriate clothing is a must. Girls are absolutely allowed to wear dresses or skirts, however we ask that they wear either shorts or leggings/tights underneath them. Immodest clothing (crop tops, miniskirts, gym tanks with waist-level arm holes, make-up, excessive jewelry) will not be allowed. We believe children should dress like children.

Are there any food services provided?

We have a daily snack time and on special occasions may provide assorted treats for the enjoyment of the children. However we do require each student to eat a full breakfast at home and bring a packed lunch with them to school. Parents of infants will need to supply milk and/or formula for their babies as needed.
